Fast Review of 2017 Lamborghini Centenario Roadster

Whether you’re a Lambo fanboy til death or feel the need to troll their latest aerodynamic effort, it is a fact that the 2017 Centenario Roadster serves the purpose of every Lamborghini in existence – to turn heads like a rocketship firing missile tsunamis.

As the name indicates, the Centenario was built to celebrate the 100th birthday of Ferruccio Lamborghini, the man who stuck it to Enzo Ferrari by building a rival company.

Essentially the same supercar as the coupe, but with unlimited headroom, this roadster is built around a carbon monocoque with a 759 horsepower, 6.5 litre V12 delivering a power-to-weight ratio of 2.04 kg/hp – compared to the Aventador SV (Coupe) 2.03 kg/hp.

Believe it or not, there are more to those curves than looks; the aggressive diffuser, large air scoops, and extending rear wing are all designed to be functional, while the interior features carbon fibre sport seats, a (size doesn’t matter) 10.1 inch high-def touchscreen panel, and an interior shade called Terra di California (Italian speak for ‘land of California’).

Want one? Too late; only 20 of these breathing Ferruccio birthday cakes will be built and they’ve all been sold. At £1,73 million we weren’t in the running anyway – not even if Ferruccio lived to be 200.
