The Lotus Exige Sport 350 Roadster has been joined the Evora Sport 410 at the Geneva show. As the name suggests, the car is an open-top version of the Exige Sport 350 coupé. With a minimum weight of 1085kg, including optional weightsaving brakes, wheels and bodywork — which includes a carbonfibre spoiler, front splitter and rear diffuser — the Exige Sport 350 Roadster is the lightest version of the current Exige available.
The coupé version is 10kg heavier. The Exige Sport 350 Roadster has a 0-60mph time of 3.7sec — 0.2sec quicker than the coupé — and tops out at 145mph. Its engine is the same 345bhp V6 as the coupé’s but it has a tweaked version of the six-speed manual gearbox. Other weight-saving measures on the new Lotus include a lighter centre console, battery and engine mounts.
