Audi RS3 Is Ready For Takeoff

Sharing the spotlight with the Q5 on Audi’s Paris stand was the all-new 394bhp RS3 saloon.

More powerful Audi RS3 is marked out by large twin exhausts, which hint at the 33bhp increase in power

it’s now a four-door only, and looks almost identical to the lesser-powered S3 saloon, with a more aggressive front bumper, flared wheelarches and large oval twin exhaust tailpipes nestled in the rear diffuser.

Under the bonnet, Audi has dropped in the updated 2,5-litre five-cylinder engine from the recently launched TT RS, so not only is it 33bhp more powerful than the outgoing Sportback, it’ll also outgun its closest rival, the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, which has 355bhp.

This means the RS3 saloon covers 0-62mph in 4.1 seconds, while top speed is limited to 155mph, although this can be raised to 174mph as part of an optional upgrade pack.
